WikiWar is an idea dedicated to making Wikipedia a more warlike place for everyone. It involves giving others WikiFrowns or declaring WikiWars. If you agree with this idea, you can sign your name here and / or use WikiWar userbox.
WikiWars can also be used as a final solution to disputes, if the Arbitration Committee is unable to resolve the situation to your satisfaction. Note: A WikiWar should only be declared in the most dire of circumstances, but may prove helpful in solving a dispute. For more information, see Dispute Resolution.
Goals
There are some goals we are trying to make through WikiWar. Our mission is to treat editors as one, and use WikiWar to do it. We treat all editors with respect, no matter the age, sex, race, and previous wrongdoing. Also, it is good to teach vandals that they CAN become good editors with good practice, and a bit of learning.
Unfortunately, sometimes diplomatic means are not enough to prevent a user from engaging in disruptive behavior. This then leaves the parties involved with no other choice than to declare WikiWar. This sad reality will hopefully be unnecessary in the future, but until then, WikiWars are a part of life.
Perhaps the most important goal is to make people realize that being right (or wrong!) in a dispute on Wikipedia is not the end of the world. If we spent less time developing huge bureaucracies to deal with disputes, and more time editing, maybe this encyclopedia could be even better than it already is. See Wikipedia:GetALife and Wikipedia:GrowUp.
