This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the countries of Central America with a spirit of cooperation.

We acknowledge up front that there may be other WikiProjects, both now and in the future, which deal directly with individual nations or areas within the above. We are grateful for their efforts, and will concentrate our own on those areas which are not covered by a currently existing project.

- Daniel32708 I am a collector of coins/banknotes/stamps specialized on Costa Rica. I also have from other central american nations. I have cooperated a lot in the Costa Rican Colón article (info and have uploaded images of many of my banknotes). I also know a lot about Costa Rican History and current events (I live in Costa Rica).
- A R King 06:11, 2 February 2007 (UTC) I lived in El Salvador from 2002 to 2005 working as a linguist on Nawat, the only surviving (but endangered) native language in ES, and helped found the Iniciativa para la Recuperación del Idioma Náhuat (IRIN). I am now based in the Basque Country but continue to support the effort and also have a scholarly interest in other CA languages (and minority languages generally). My main contribution will be language-related articles.

- anriar 11 February 2007, I spent last summer in Nicaragua, am currently taking a class on NGO's and poverty in the country, and am planning on returning this coming summer. Most of what I know is about the FSLN era and the current political situation.

Residing in New York City, (but studying in Syracuse, NY), I trace my heritage roots there and I visit family there during summers when I can. Studying at Syracuse University, I have realized that Nicaragua has played a larger role in Latin American affairs, particulaly in language. However, I am currently working on various articles that link Nicaragua together to mold a larger picture. I have photos on my old cameras (dear Lord), that I can use to link up articles together.
